Never put on so much weight: Ranbir Kapoor

According to Times of India, Ranbir said while talking about the film, “It has been an inspiring journey for me to be playing Sanjay Dutt for the silver screen. I have never put on so much weight before and now plan to reduce some weight for the next phase of shooting.”

The film is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who has worked with Sanjay Dutt in movies like 2003's Munna Bhai MBBS and its 2006 sequel.

Hirani hopes to portray seven stages of Dutt's life, the first phase being when the actor was 22.

"It's amazing to be working with a director like Rajkumar Hirani," Ranbir said.

The film so far has no title and Kapoor will begin promotions after he is done with ‘Jagga Jasoos’.
