Fishermen warn not to go into dip-sea: Minister

The Provincial Minister said this while talking to delegation of fishermen who called on him at his office.

It may be worth mentioning here the Met Office has forecast widespread rain in southern Balochistan and lower Sindh including Karachi from Tuesday to Thursday.

The Weather Advisory of Met Office said flood affected areas of lower Sindh may also receive scattered rain-thundershowers on Wednesday-Thursday.

It said a well marked low pressure area developed over central parts of Arabian Sea has intensified into a depression, located at 1200 km south-southwest of Balochistan coast.

This strong weather system is moving in north-west direction and likely to hit eastern coast of Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday, giving widespread heavy rains accompanied by strong gusty winds.

Under the influence of this weather system widespread rain, heavy at times, is also expected in southern Balochistan and lower Sindh.

The Fishermen of Balochistan and Sindh are advised not to venture into open sea from Tuesday to Thursday because the sea conditions are very likely to remain rough to very rough during the period.
