Special security for pro-PPP rally by MQM

Besides, the police and rangers, the traffic police wardens of the CDGK were specially asked to supervise the security arrangements made for the rally in the wake of threats and to thwart any act of terrorism.

The security personnel also arranged closed circuit television cameras on the occasion.

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wassan, also ensured their presence to supervise the security arrangements as hundreds of workers of MQM and PPP attended the meeting, besides, their respective leaders.

The security personnel also had assistance of plain- clothes intelligence personnel of the police, rangers and CID officials to prevent any act of sabotage while the media personnel were also frisked very thoroughly.
