* The dollar turned firm as crude oil and equities eased on Friday, reversing the market moves of the previous day that were tied to euphoria over a euro zone debt-relief plan.

* Taiwan's Maize Industry Procurement Association bought 60,000 tonnes of corn from Brazil and private buyers in Taiwan have made rare purchases of corn from Ukraine, but the tonnage was not known.

* Drier weather from the weekend through early next week will boost harvest of US corn and soy but showers again late next week will slow late harvest.

* December ended above its 200-day moving average of $6.51-1/4, a bullish technical close. The nine-day RSI stood at 60, in neutral technical territory. 1:19 PM CDT
