Prices of fruits, vegetables remain stable

ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items in the federal capital here on Tuesday.

According to the Islamabad Market Committee Price List issued here, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.

Potato sold at Rs 24 per kilogram, Onion Rs 28, Tomato Rs 45, Ginger Rs 95, Garlic (China) Rs 285, Garlic Local 325, Lemon Rs 55, Lady Finger Rs 120, Pumpkin Rs 55, Brinjal Rs 35, Peas Rs 55, Fresh Bean Rs 44, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 38, Cucumber Rs 55, Capsicum Rs 95, Green Chilli Rs 55, Cauliflower Rs 24, Cabbage Rs 28, Bitter Gourd Rs 95, Spinach Rs 13, Radish Rs 12, Turnip Rs 23,Yam Rs 76, Maroo Rs 35, Carrot Rs 26, Chicken Rs 102 and Egg per dozen Rs 126.

Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 120/90, Apple Golden Rs 85/65, Apple White Rs 86/55, Apple China Rs 165/130, Banana Pak Rs 76/45, Grapes Toffee Rs 150/130, Guava 60/40, Pomegranate Rs 180/150, Musumi Rs 130/100, Shakri Rs 128/90, Kino Rs 54/45, Fruiter Rs 90/60, Pear China Rs 155/140.

The people are asked to ensure that they are sold vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
