No visible change observed in prices of fruits, vegetables

ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items in the federal capital here on Saturday.

According to the Islamabad Market Committee Price List except Kohsar market, Super market and Jinnah Super Market issued here, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.

According to price list, potato sold at Rs 32 per kilogram, Onion Rs 32, Tomato Rs 34, Ginger Rs 120, Garlic (China) Rs 308, Garlic Local 330, Lemon Rs 72, Lady Finger Rs 110/72, Pumpkin Rs 59, Brinjal Rs 39, Peas Rs 55, Fresh Bean Rs 50, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 42, Capsicum Rs 72/56, Green Chilli Rs 60, Cauliflower Rs 30/21, Cabbage Rs 40, Bitter Gourd Rs 85/66, Spinach Rs 20/16, Radish Rs 17, Turnip Rs 27, Yam Rs 76, Maroo Rs 33, Carrot Rs 29, Chicken Rs 122 and Egg per dozen Rs 116.

Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 135/98, Apple Golden Rs 105/66, Apple White Rs 100/56, Apple China Rs 165/135, Banana Pak Rs 95/50, Grapes Tafi Rs 175/140, Guava 92/52, Pomegranate Rs 186/135, Musumi Rs 110/95, Shakri Rs 130/110, Keeno Rs 110/60, Fruiter Rs 88/55, Pear China Rs 155/130.

The people are asked to ensure that they are sold vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
