Pakistan, Bosnia to boost cooperation in power generation, investment, trade

SERAJEVO: Pakistan and Bosnia while vowing to explore new areas of cooperation, agreed to enhance cooperation in power generation, trade, business and investment sectorson on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his Bosnian counterpart Chairman of the Council of Ministers Dr Denis Zvizdic jointly addressed a press conference at the conclusion of their exclusive and delegation level talks at the parliament building.

The two leaders termed their talks as detailed and constructive and said they exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual concern besides reviewing the whole gamut of ties between the two countries.

It was agreed to boost cooperation between trade and investment sectors of the two countries and joint ventures between their business sectors.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said he also discussed cooperation in power sector including generation from hydel and coal sectors.

The Bosnian prime minister said the two countries had agreed on setting up a joint commission that would help to identify the potential in various sectors and find ways to explore these further.

He expressed satisfaction that a delegation of Pakistani businessmen and entrepreneurs would be visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina soon to boost cooperation.

He was appreciative of Pakistan's cooperation in different areas with his country over the past 25 years. He also invited Pakistani agriculturists to an exhibition in April and hoped that it would help both sides to gain from each other's experiences.

Prime Minister Sharif said during the talks the two sides agreed on bilateral collaboration in trade business, investment, culture and education.
