A statement here on Tuesday said that the company catered to the needs of 6,000 affected families in areas like Umerkot, Sanghar, Tando Jan Mohammad, Sumaro, NauKot, Tando AllaYar, Tando Mohammad Khan and Saeedabad. It said that relief bags, containing goods like rice, sugar, pulses, tea, other edibles, water, medicines, mosquito nets and blankets were distributed to the affected families. The statement said that a team of Lucky Cement's employees and associates personally looked after the distribution of relief goods. In addition to the above intervention, Lucky Cement also generously supported and donated a handsome amount to All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) for the relief efforts as a separate project. It was further pointed out that the Company also played eminent role in the flood relief activities last year and in the relief of earthquake victims in 2005.
