European stocks rise at open

LONDON: Europe's main stock markets rose slightly at the start of trading on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.2 percent to 6,841.48 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 climbed 0.1 percent to 10,700.17 points and the Paris CAC 40 gained also 0.1 percent to open at 4,548.85 compared with the close on Thursday.
