Qatar raises Oct prices for Marine, Land crude

SINGAPORE: Qatar has set its October retroactive official selling price (OSP) for its Marine crude at $48.40 a barrel, up $5.95 a barrel from the previous month, a source with knowledge of the matter said on Monday.

Qatar also set its October Qatar Land crude OSP at $50.25, up $6 from the previous month, the source said.

The prices were also reported by the Qatar News Agency.

The October price hikes increased the OSP differentials to Dubai quotes for Qatar Marine and Land by 29 cents and 35 cents a barrel, respectively, higher than the levels for spot deals last month.

This may add some downward pressure on the two grades when trade for January-loading barrels start later this month, although robust winter demand and strong refining margins could offset some of this impact, a trader said.
