Talking to APP, he said each year several gas related accidents occur in different areas, particularly during the winter season.
He urged people to follow precautionary measures for their own safety adding that people should avoid using rubber pipes for gas appliances.
He was of the view standard gas equipment and pipes can curtail the ratio of critical incidents.
Aamir said that precautionary measures, such as frequently checking of gas service lines is must and maintained that in case of leakage these should be repaired immediately.
Urging the safe use of heaters, GM SNGPL said that the windows of a room should be kept open when the gas heater is turned on.
Replying to a question, he said that recent low pressure of gas is temporary and the issue would be solved very soon.
GM SNGPL further stated that SNGPL emergency teams are working round the clock and facilitating the customers on their complaints.
He said customers can contact regional offices for registering their complaints on 1199 from landline and 0421199 from mobile.
