The main TAIEX index rose 28.19 points to 7,272.51, after ending 1.48 percent lower in the previous session. Electronics shares slipped 0.29 percent, with camera module maker Largan Precision shedding 5.55 percent after giving a conservative outlook for the fourth quarter. Financial shares inched up 0.52 percent, with Fubon Financial Holding rising 0.47 percent. The company said it plans to spend $18.10 million to take its full entitlement in a rights issue by China's Xiamen Bank. The Taiwan dollar was flat at T$30.297. Foreign investors were net sellers on Thursday, reducing their total buying to T$6.743 billion this month.
