With focus on Europe, markets largely ignoring positive data showing a jump in Australia's export prices last quarter, which helped lift the country's terms of trade to the highest in at least 140 years. Data mixed in NZ, which lost more people to Australia, although the Rugby World Cup lifted tourism arrivals in September. Markets pricing implies 2 pct chance of a rate cut next week by RBNZ, and 39 bps of tightening over the next 12 months. In contrast, markets see a 75 pct chance of a 25 bps rate cut at the next rate review in Australia. Aussie a touch softer against the kiwi at NZ$1.2874, having hit a three-month peak of NZ$1.2931 on Tuesday. The Antipodeans steady against the yen, with the Aussie at 78.52 yen and the kiwi at 60.92 yen . Next week sees a busy week, with third quarter inflation data in both countries.
