Consequently, the earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter increased to Rs 10.01 compared to Rs 9.18 reported during the same period last year.
The Company's net sales revenue increased by 2.3% to Rs 10.57 billion compared to Rs 10.33 billion reported during the same period last year. The increase in net sales revenue was mainly attributable to increase in sales volume.
The local sales volume of the company during the first quarter registered a growth of 25.4% to 1.34 million tons compared to 1.07 million tons reported same period last year, whereas export sales volume registered a decline of 27.2% to 0.36 million tons compared to 0.49 million tons for the same period last year.
On a consolidated basis, Lucky Cement reported net profit of Rs 3.78 billion for the first quarter ended September 30, 2016 which is 14.6% higher compared to the same period last year. Consequently, consolidated EPS during the first quarter increased to Rs 11.69 compared to Rs 10.20 reported during the same period last year.
