The ship is on a counter-piracy deployment operation and is part of Combined Task Force–151. The ship is fitted with state-of-art weapons and sensors and carries Z9EC helicopter.
Naved Anwar Cheema, the defense attaché of Pakistan in Oman, informed that Combined Task Force–151 multinational anti-piracy force is being commanded by Rear Admiral Kaleem Shaukat of Pakistan Navy.
