In-form Simmons replaces injured Barath in test squad

CHITTAGONG: West Indies opener Lendl Simmons was rewarded for some impressive batting in the one day series with Banglad

Barath, 21, suffered a hamstring injury during the first one day international and has not recovered enough to make the two test series.

The 26-year-old Simmons is in good form and was the topscoring batsman with 202 runs in two innings in the three match one day series which the visitors won 2-1.

The first Test gets underway on Friday in Chittagong.

The West Indies squad for the three-match Test Series in India will be announced later this month.
