Pakistani to participate WIPO workshop in Manila

According to a statement issued here, representatives from Pakistan would also participate in the 2-day workshop held from October 24 to 25.

The objective of the workshop "The dangers of counterfeit goods to public health" is to spread a better understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR's) among the relevant audiences and raise public awareness about the health and safety risks associated with buying counterfeit goods.

After attending the workshop, participants would be expected to involve in developing outreach campaigns and raising general public awareness from the participating countries.

Besides Pakistan, the other countries include Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Veitnam.
