NADRA established 14 exclusive centres for women
This particular initiative has encouraged women to apply for their registration as a sharp increase has been observed in their registration.
Deputy Chairman of NADRA, Tariq Malik on Tuesday said that around 80 per cent of women adult population has been registered so far and added the basic objective of such centres was to enhance women registration in a minimum possible time and to facilitate them in getting education, health, employment and other facilities including elections.
In an exclusive talk with APP, he said Centres in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, and Mardan and in some other cities are already functional while the latest one has been inaugurated in Tala Gang.
He said the Authority had also taken the initiative that all Fridays will be exclusive for female registration days across Pakistan in all the NADRA Swift Registration Centres (NSRCs) to encourage women registration and make the process absolutely comfortable by not entertaining any Men during Fridays.
Highlighting the efforts of NADRA to increase women registration, Tariq Malik said that the Authority had dedicated its mobile registration units across the country to encourage women registration.
He said NADRA wants to empower women for their basic rights and the women registration drive is aimed at increasing women registration to have more accurate data to facilitate national planning commission in decision making.
