Malik urged to control street crimes, extortions
KARACHI: Chairman, Law and Order Committee of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Nadim Khan urged the Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take strict measures to control street crime, mobile snatching and extortion mafia.
Talking to newsmen, he expressed concern over increasing incident of street crimes in Korangi industrial area and Mehran Town.
He said report reaching from different areas indicates that incidents of cash snatching, mobile snatching and vehicles carrying goods from industries snatching are increasing.
Appreciating Rehman Malik's efforts to curb target killing in the city, he said that these efforts have started showing visible results to reduce target killing
He said that the Rangers deployed in the city play a vital role to curb target killing and apprehend target killers.
He said that similar action should be initiated against those involved in street crimes and law should be amended in a way they should be punished and did not get released taking advantage of lacunas in the law.
