Jordan sends relief goods for rain victims

This was informed by the Head of Mission at Jordanian Embassy Islamabad Syed Yazan Al-Qaisi to Chief Minster Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah during a meeting at CM House here on Monday.

Syed Yazan Al-Qaisi at the head of the 5-member delegation expressed grief and sorrow over losses caused due to heavy rains.

He said there are longstanding cordial and brethren relations between Jordan and Pakistan.

He said, on the directive of King Abdullah, the Jordan Charity Organization has sent relief consignment carrying 3 tons of medicine, 2 tons of plastic rolls, 10 tents, one ton dates, 8 bales of blankets, 230 mattress and 50 carpet rolls, on humanitarian ground for the rain affectees.

He said that aid has reached Shah Faisal Air Base by Royal Jordan Air Craft C-130.

The chief minister apprised the Jordan Mission of damage caused due to heavy rains in the province.

He said that 22 out of 23 total districts were affected, 13 of them badly due to un-precedent rains and now the government is busy with rehabilitation of affectees.

Defense Attache of the Embassy Brig. Mohammad Al-Doweiri, Consulates Yousuf Farrukh and Abdullah Farrukh, Salman Ali accompanied the Mission Head.
