They appreciated the step as a wise decision of the government taken in the largest national interest to overcome energy crisis. Talking to APP at the Punjab Assembly separately on Thursday, the legislators including Raja Riaz Ahmed, Ch. Zaheerud Din, Shaukat Mehmud Basra, Sajida Mir, Amna Ulfat and Zobia Rubab observed that currently there was dire need to save electricity to provide relief to people as well as the industrial sector. They were of the opinion that huge electricity was being consumed in government offices and the decision of two holidays will reduce burden on the national grid. The legislators flayed Punjab government for not cooperating with the central government and showing reluctance in announcing two holidays a week.
