The government has also been engaged to prepare a comprehensive development plan in rains and floods affected areas of the province so that the people could not be affected in future at such a major scale which they are experiencing for last two years, he said.

The Chief Minister held out such assurance while talking to rains and floods affected people of Taluka Digri and Tando Jan Muhammad Town of Mirpurkhas district during his visit to relief camps.

Accompanied by Sindh Agriculture Minister Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, MNA Mir Munawar Talpur and MPA Mir Hayat Talpur, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah maintained that the government would not take sigh of relief till complete rehabilitation of rains and floods affected people of the province.

With the financial assistance of national and international donor organizations, the Chief Minister said that all possible measures are being adopted to provide maximum relief to the affected people and later launch a comprehensive rehabilitation plan for them.

The hectic efforts of the government would surely bring the situation into normalcy in affected areas of the province, he assured.

The Chief Minister asked the officers of Sindh Irrigation Department and Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority to ensure the early de-watering from farmland so that the growers could be able to sow their crops for next season.

All efforts should be made for the purpose with installation of maximum numbers of de-watering machines in the farmland where the rainwater is still standing, he said and warned the officers concerned that no negligence in this direction would be tolerated by the government.

He assured the rains and floods affected people that the government would provide maximum compensation towards their losses of valuable and in order to ensure transparent distribution of compensation amount, the government has started issuance of Pakistan Cards to the heads of affected families.

During visit to the relief camps, the Chief Minister distributed relief goods and clothes to affected people who have taken shelter there.

He asked the affected people of their problems and assured that they would be rehabilitated as soon as possible.
