Sources in the provincial government told APP on Saturday that Rs.02 million funds were approved as about 90 percent areas of the city were deprived of streetlights and street crimes were being reported from these localities. The sanctioned funds would be utilized for repairing of damaged streetlights. It is recalled here that QESCO had disconnected connections of some streetlights due to non-payment of electricity bills.
