Berth occupancy at Port Qasim at 67 percent on Tuesday

KARACHI: Brisk shipping was recorded at the Port where five ships C.V Lioyd Don Carlos, C.V CMA CGM Tosca, C.V Northern Magnum, M.T Genuine Galaxy and M.T Okyroe carrying Containers, Chemicals and Furnace oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO oil Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

In the meantime two more ships M.T As Orelia and M.T Methane Heater

Sally with Chemicals and LNG also got anchored at outer anchorage of Port Qasim.

Berth occupancy remained at the Port at sixty seven percent on Tuesday where a total of nine ships namely C.V Lioyd Don Carlos, C.V CMA CGM Tosca, C.V Norther Magnum, M.V An African, M.V Da Yu Xia, M.V Intuition,, M.T Genuine Galaxy, M.T Able Sailor and M.T Okyroe are currently occupying terminals to load/offload Containers, Cement General cargo, Canole Seeds, Chemical, Pam oil and Furnace oil Coal and Furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling operation were carried out efficiently at the Port where a cargo volume of 107,292 tonnes, comprising 65,378 tonnes import cargo and 41,914 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,446 Containers (TEUs))1,353 imports TEUs & 2,086 TEUs exports) was handled during last 24 hours.

Two ship M.T Able Sailor and M.v Intuition sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning while two more ships M.V Da Ya Xia and C.V Northern Magnum are expected to sail on same day afternoon.

Four ships C.V Maersk Stepnica, M.V Orion 3, M.V Horizon and M.T Methane Heater Sally carrying Containers, Soya Bean seeds, Palm oil and LNG are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Grain & Fertilizer Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 15th June,2016.
