Japanese diplomats visit rain affected areas Thatta

KARACHI : The Japanese diplomats visited the rain affected areas of Thatta on Sunday and assured help in rehabilitation

According to a press release a delegation of Japanese diplomats led by Masamichi Abe, Deputy Consul General of Japan at Karachi, along with DCO Thatta Muhammad Jaffer Abbasi, visited relief camps of Makli and Jati and met flood affectees.

The DCO Thatta told the Japanese diplomats that the flood caused by drains of LBOD has rendered 187000 people of the district homeless as 11 Union Councils of two Talukas of District Jati and Mirpur Bathoro have been inundated.

Masamichi speaking on the occasion said that he has came to assess the problems of flood affectees and his government and Consulate will work along with the government of Sindh, in restoring infrastructure and rehabilitating the affectees.
