HESCO disconnected power supply to 20 more govt offices

HYDERABAD: The special recovery teams of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) disconnected the power connections of 20 more offices of government departments following non-payment of outstanding dues.

According to HESCO spokesman, the special recovery teams also carried out its operation against the defaulting offices of the government departments and cut off the power connections of 20 more offices of the Police, Agriculture, Irrigation, Fisheries, Forest, Water Management, Education, Public and Health departments as well as Municipal Committees, Taluka Municipal Administrations and SIDA.

He informed that an amount of Rs. 32.514 billion is outstanding against federal and provincial government departments which included Rs. 2.213 billion against federal government departments and Rs. 30.30 billion against provincial government departments.

On the directives of the Chief Executive Officer HESCO Akhtar Ali Randhawa, the special recovery teams have geared up its operation in the entire region for hundred percent recovery of outstanding dues against these departments, the spokesman informed.
