Macro-economic stability due to continuity of reforms: Prime Minister
Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali said on Wednesday that the continuity of the economic reforms and policies have resulted in macro-economic stability in the country.
He was talking to Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan, Ichiriro Fuji Faki, who called on him at the Prime Minister's Secretariat, here.
Jamali said that continuity of reforms holds the key to a better and prosperous future, adding the strict fiscal discipline and prudent economic policies have helped the country to bring in a complete turnaround in the economic field.
The Prime Minister also lauded the valuable Japanese assistance in the economic field.
Jamali briefed the Deputy Foreign Minister on the rationale of the economic policies being pursued by the government and apprised him of the privatisation policy of the government and the encouragement of private sector and the foreign investors.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan appreciated the democratic process and the economic development in Pakistan.
The Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan, Minoru Shibuya was also present on the occasion.
