European stock markets diverge at open

LONDON: Europe's main stock markets were mixed at the open on Monday following losses in Tokyo.

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index climbed 0.4 percent to 6,234.66 points compared with Friday's close.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 was flat at 10,105.09 points and the CAC 40 in Paris fell 0.3 percent to 4,407.01.
