European stock markets dip at open

LONDON: European stock markets eased at the start of trading on Wednesday, extending the previous day's losses.

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index fell 0.1 percent to 6,222.67 points compared with Tuesday's close.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 index lost 0.2 percent to 10,242.78 points and the CAC 40 in Paris dipped 0.1 percent to 4,502.84.
