European stocks fall at open

LONDON: European stock markets fell slightly at the start of trading on Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index slipping 0.2 percent to 6,144.46 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 index dropped 0.3 percent to 9,891 points and the Paris CAC 40 gave up 0.2 percent to 4,344.89 compared with Friday's close.
