European stocks drop at open amid Frankfurt closure

LONDON: Europe's main stock markets fell in subdued deals at the start of trading on Monday, but Frankfurt was shut for a holiday.

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index slid 0.5 percent to 6,106.33 points, and the Paris CAC 40 index shed 0.7 percent to 4,290.65 compared with Friday's closing level.
