Sindh Police to donate one day salary in flood relief fund

This decision was made in a meeting chaired by Inspector General of Police Sindh, Wajid Ali Khan Durrani at Central Police Office, said a statement issued on Tuesday.

The meeting was also attended by Additional Inspector General, Sindh Falak Khursheed, DIGP/Headquarters, Sindh, Sardar Abdul Majid, DIGP/Establishment Shahid Hayat, DIGP T and T, Sindh, Abdul Aleem Jaffery and other senior police officers.

It was informed to the meeting that four trucks load of relief goods including 2000 packets of grocery items, medicines and candles are being transported to provide help to the families of flood effected police personnel.

The IGP directed to send two relief goods trucks to Badin district and one each to Mirpurkhas and Sanghar.

He also directed the officials concerned to arrange relief goods for families of police personnel residing in other affected districts as well.

Wajid Ali Durrani also reviewed various on going welfare projects including Police Housing schemes in all districts and issued necessary directives in this regard.
