Pak envoy to Kabul terms Rabbani's assassination as great loss to Pakistan

Talking to VOA, the Ambassador called the Professor a grate person. Mohammad Sadiq added that former Afghan President was a close friend of Pakistan since war against the erstwhile Soviet Union.

He said Pakistan and Afghanistan Islamic brotherhood had been established when Afghans were fighting against the Soviet Union.

Being a Chief of High Peace Council, Rabbani had formed joint peace council between Pakistan and Kabul to bring peace in war-torn Afghanistan, the Ambassador remarked.

He maintained Professor Rabbani and Pakistani leadership had agreed that Pak-Afghan peace is interrelated.

He said that we should extend bilateral cooperation in this regard.

Mohammad Sadiq said that anti peace elements in Afghanistan and region are responsible for the killing of former President.

He said that anti peace elements are the enemies of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

We would continue peace mission of Professor Rabbani to bring peace in Pakistan and Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq said.

He added that they would not allow their enemies to bring instability in the region.
