Govt plans to construct Modern Labour City
Talking to media-men here on Saturday, he said that soon a commercial plaza would be constructed to generate revenue for socio-economic amelioration of working class and offices of Workers Welfare Board would also be shifted to the plaza.
Sher Azam said that 350 million rupees have been approved for providing scholarships and financial assistance to the children of labour community.
The Minister said that the government is considering for providing 2,000 kanal free of cost land to establishing a Modern Labour Complex at Nizampura in district Nowshera, which will be gift of the present government to labours.
On this occasion, the Minister appreciates keen interest of Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti for initiating various uplift projects in KPK and said that soon a Labour City will be constructed in Mardan on 500 kanal, to provide an improved residential facility with all basic amenities of life to labours at their doorstep.
He lauded the efforts of Workers Welfare Board for its endevours for working class and directed its officials to work hard with professional zeal to resolve issues confronted by hard working class of the country.
