ISLAMABAD : The Indian authorities have deported a prominent US radio journalist and author, David Barsamian, on his

Barsamian had reported on events in Occupied Kashmir during his last visit to the Valley.

He also had interactions with pro- liberation leaders, Kashmir Media Service reported on Saturday.

"Barsamian was scheduled to travel to Srinagar next week in connection with the report by a human rights panel on the discovery of over 2000 unmarked graves in north Held Kashmir," Khurram Parvez, Coordinator of Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) told media-men.

"Barsamian had delivered lecturers in December 2008 and then again came in February earlier this year,'' said Parvez, adding, "We were planning to take him to visit the unmarked graves sites. He has done several interviews on Kashmir earlier."
