The fusion of conventional and modern trends (East and West) have created interest for fashion lovers of different cultures and invited investors to support the fashion industry in Pakistan, said Akash Ali, model, actor and organizer of fashion shows at Federal capital.

The dying film industry of Pakistan took away the investors from the Lollywood but the flourishing fashion industry is bringing them back as Indian, Arab and other foreign designers feel pleasure to hold shows in Pakistan.

Like the fashion scenes of Lahore and Karachi, the Federal capital was not popular in holding shows and promoting fashion at national and international level in recent past but the year 2010 opened its doors for `Fashion Galas' of extraordinary status.

The first ever Fashion Gala and than first Islamabad Fashion week not only brought fashion starved people to stage but also proved to be an income generation opportunity for models, designers, make-up artists, choreographers, organizers, young actors and others associated with this profession.

Talking to APP, Akash Ali said, it was a risky task to hold a show at Federal capital and invite international designers as security factor and lack of interest of people was the main reason.

Such promotional events of fashion can add Isloo's name in the list of world's fashion capitals, he said, adding "While every one was worried about the security situation, Isloo's fashionistas were determined to make an appearance which worked and grabbed the attention of world's fashion class here."

"Pakistani designers are known in international markets now and many international shows feel proud to invite Pakistani designers which not only improves the content of their runway but also projects the soft image of the country as a talented young generation," he said.

He said the same enthusiasm and interest of young generation in fashion industry can bring a revolution to the dying film industry of Pakistan and gain the attention of foreign and local investors again with new ideas.

"The people related to fashion and film industries want to promote the fashions, art and entertainment in Pakistan to portray the softer image of our country all over the world. Fashion Industry can play a big role in current economic situation of Pakistan to spread our culture and traditions to other civilizations across the border," he said.

Fashion shows, Galas and fashion weeks give the opportunity to not only entertains people mainly women, but also enriches the atmosphere of society and assists the progressive evolution of culture.

The designers being studying and sprouting in the federal capital are not only concerned with dresses but they are getting and displaying the expertise of accessories, cosmetics, make over items and foot wears both casual and formal that revolutionizes the haute couture.
