Unidentified armed men riding in a pick-up and a land-cruiser intercepted a bus carrying devotees on gunpoint near Lakpass tunnel on Quetta-Mastung road on Tuesday.
The gunmen offloaded the devotees who were going to border town of Taftan to enter Iran to visit shrines. The armed men opened fire at them, killing 29 people.
The funeral prayers of the victims were offered in Alamdar road and Hazara Town areas who later were laid to rest in the graveyards. The incident caused panic in the city.
