The visiting Sri Lankans, who arrived in Lahore a couple of days ago on the request of the Punjab government, visited different localities and collected samples of water, and sent them to laboratory.
Lankan experts collected samples from Ganga Ram Hospital, Canal road and Cantt areas of the city.
The experts said that only four percent of dengue patients need platelets.
The experts were of the view that a long-term strategy was required to control the dengue virus.
Earlier, the Lankan team visited Services Hospital to inquire after dengue patients. Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Javed welcomed the Lankan medical experts and briefed the delegation about the treatment facilities being provided to dengue patients.
