Milan, Madrid stock exchanges drop by over 3pc

MILAN: The Milan and the Madrid stock exchanges both dropped by more than three percent on Wednesday as banking sector worries and concerns about slow economic growth weighed on share prices.

Around 15h15 GMT, Milan's FTSE-MIB index was down 3.2 percent at 16,607 points, while Madrid's Ibex 35 plunged 3.4 percent to 7,983.50.
