Iraq issues tender to buy at least 90,000 tonnes rice from US-trade

HAMBURG: Iraq's state grains buyer has issued an international tender to buy at least 90,000 tonnes of rice to be sourced from the United States, European traders said on Monday.

The closing date for the tender is Feb. 21 and offers must be valid until Feb. 25, traders said.

Volumes in Iraq's rice tenders are nominal and the country frequently buys more than was tendered for.
