European stocks close up

LONDON : European stocks ended in positive territory on Wednesday, with Frankfurt's DAX up 3.36 percent to 5,340.19 poi

In London the FTSE-100 index of leading shares closed up 1.02 percent to 5,227.07 points and Paris' CAC-40 rose 1.87 percent to 2,949.14 points.

Madrid and Milan both closed up 2.7 percent.
