Talking to a private news channel, PPP senator Gul Muhammad Lot said that the government is doing everything according to its resources and has dispatched thousands of packets of food item for the people of the Sindh adding that "The calamity cannot be confronted successfully until each and every person put its share for this cause. I appeal to wealthy people to pay taxes and assist their countrymen in the hour of need".

PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique said it is our collective responsibility to assist our people either affected by the flood in Sindh province or the dengue fever in Punjab. It is matter of the nationalism and not of the provincial governments. The whole nation should stand up beside the government against the dengue fever as the government cannot fight the war alone, he added.

ANP Senator Zahid Khan said that we should face the challenges with unity and resolve. It is not the time for the political parties to score political numbers. We should think above all political affiliation and provide help to the needy people.

MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said that the leaders of the MQM have dispatched a number of medical teams, comprising doctors and paramedics, to worst affected areas of he Sindh province. These teams are providing assistance to the people of those areas. Our rescuers are also operating in the areas. We are trying our level best to carry out relief work for the affected people.
