Senator Talha discusses Pak, China trade cooperation with Kashgar leadership

During the meeting Senator Talha said "Pakistan is passing through a difficult time, but we are confident that we will overcome our problems".

Senator Talha is leading a parliamentary delegation comprising of representatives from various political parities including JUI (F), PPP, ANP and United Party.

The delegation comprised of Naeem Hussain Chattha (Senator, PML-Q), Haji Muhammad Adeel (Senator, ANP), Abdul Haque alias Mian Mitha (MNA, PPP), Syed Ghulam Shah Bokhari (United Party) and Asim Kakakhel (JUI-F).

The parliamentary delegation has been invited to China by CPPCC and after visiting Beijing, the delegation is on visit to Kashgar followed by Urumqi in their ten-day stay.

Their visit is part of the 60th anniversary celebrations of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. The governments of Pakistan and China have declared 2011 as the Year of Friendship.

He assured that his Committee is taking special measures to ensure the security of the Chinese working in Pakistan.

He pointed out that the President of the Federation of Commerce is from his party and he will ask him to send a delegation of leading businessmen to explore investment opportunities in Kashgar Special Economic Zone.

Yesterday the delegation visited Kashgar Special Economic Zone and were briefed about the plans for the SEZ.

In the afternoon the delegation had a luncheon meeting with Pakistani businessmen in Kashgar.

Upon reaching Urumqi on Monday Night, the delegation would visit Xinjiang Medical university and interact with Pakistani students.

Later the delegation would meet Governor Nur Bekri and Aisihati Kelimubai, Chairman CPPCC of Xinjiang. Followed by a banquet hosted by the Chairman.
