In the previous week, annual food and fuel inflation stood at 10.05 percent and 12.55 percent respectively.
The primary articles index was up 13.34 percent, compared with an annual rise of 12.93 percent a week earlier.
India's central bank remains bent on fighting domestic inflation , which stood at 9.22 percent in July, despite weakening global conditions, officials with direct knowledge of policymaking said on Wednesday, a week before it is widely expected to raise interest rates once again.
The Reserve Bank of India, which has lifted rates 11 times in 18 months, makes its mid-quarter review on Sept. 16.
