LSE downs by 52.61 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 52.61 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5356.50 points and closed at 5303.89 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 123,000 shares to close against previous turnover of 2.200 million shares, showing a downward slide of 2.077 milloion shares. While, out of the total 65 active scrips, 8 moved up, 7 shed values and 50 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Noon Pakistan Limited, Arif Habib Corporation Limited and Soneri Bank Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 13.70, Re 0.70 and Re 0.70 respectively.

Kot Addu Power Company Limited, Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited and Fauji Cement Company Limited lost their per share value by Re 0.26, Re 0.14 and Re 0.11 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 72,500 shares, Soneri Bank Limited with 25,500 shares and Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited with 7,000 shares.
