LSE downs by 24.09 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 24.09 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5377.24 points and closed at 5353.15 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.200 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.962 million shares, showing a downward slide of 238,600 shares. While, out of the total 64 active scrips, only 5 moved up, 9 shed values and 50 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Soneri Bank Limited, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited and Pakcem Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Re 0.78, Re 0.41 and Re 0.30 respectively.

Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited, Pakistan Oil Fields Limited and Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited lost their per share value by Rs 1.45, Rs 1.41 and Re 0.25 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Gharibwal Cement Company Limited with 1.5 million shares, Silkbank Limited (Saudi) with 501,000 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 129,000 shares.
