Shipments of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) were also affected by the disruption, the cause of which remains unclear, they added. LNG exports in November averaged 20 million tonnes/year (mt) while December is averaging just 16 mt/year, according to one industry source.
Last week was averaging in the range of just 10-13 mt/year, the source added, while cautioning day-on-day flows could be volatile.
Nigeria LNG's export plant at Bonny Island can produce 22 million metric tonnes of liquefied gas per year and has long-term supply contracts with buyers in Italy, Spain, Turkey, Portugal and France.
It also sells on the spot market.
