The measures have been taken following a report of entry of two explosive laden vehicles in the capital city. Talking to APP here on Wednesday, SSP Peshawar Ijaz Khan said that security was beefed up to maintain peace in the city and to protect lives.
He said that extra barricades have been erected in different parts of the capital city and police were keeping vigilant eye on the movement of people near busy commercial markets, roads, public places, educational institutes and government buildings.
SSP has asked the people to assist law enforcers in maintaining peace in the metropolis city and also remain vigilant.
