LSE downs by 50.87 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 50.87 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5400.51 points and closed at 5349.64 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 400,500 shares to close against previous turnover of 1.441 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.041 million shares. While, out of the total 68 active scrips, only 5 moved up, 25 shed values and 38 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Mari Petroleum Company Limited, Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited and Habib Bank Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 32.00, Re. 0.81 and Re. 0.70 respectively.

Pakistan Oil Fields Limited, Engro Corporation Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited lost their per share value by Rs 7.58, Rs 5.16 and Rs 4.18 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 180,000 shares, Silkbank Limited (Saudi) with 67,500 shares and Pace Pakistan Limited with 30,000 shares.
