LSE gains 26.75 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) here Wednesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 26.75 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5181.18 points and closed at 5207.93 points.

The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 708,000 shares to close against previous turnover of 2.246 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.538 million shares. While, out of the total 74 active scrips 18 moved up, 8 shed values and 48 remained equal.

The top three Major Gainers of the day were Glaxo Smith Kline Pakistan, Mari Petroleum Company and Pak Elektron Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 10.42, Rs 5.48 and Rs 1.07 respectively.

Hascol Petroleum Limited, Japan Power Generation and Southern Electric Power lost their per share value by Rs 1.43, Re 0.65 and Re 0.39 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Silkbank Limited (Saudi) with 227,000 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 176,000 shares and Pace Pakistan Limited with 97,000 shares.
